MediaTek brings 5G technology and low cost terminals

MediaTek, the maker of affordable SoC mobile platforms, now offers 5G technology on low-cost devices as well. They have developed an SoC platform with an integrated 5G modem that will be unveiled soon.

We do not have details about the platform, but we know that it will be launched on May 7. It will be a low cost platform for very affordable phones, probably those phones around 250 euros or even lower.

This is good news for those looking for an affordable 5G phone because they are expensive at the moment, the technology being in the beginning.
