OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has been launched
The model launched today offers the OnePlus experience, with a faster charging, a more powerful chipset and smarter cameras. OnePlus Nord CE 2 has a number of distinctive OnePlus features, such as a 90 Hz AMOLED display, OxygenOS 11, and 5G support, along with user-specific OnePlus Nord CE features such as a slim design and input for headphones.
The phone has a 65 W SUPERVOOC fast charge for a 4,500 mAh two-cell battery. A complete cycle takes 32 minutes. 65W SUPERVOOC is a low voltage charging solution with 8 temperature sensors and an integrated charging circuit that ensures real-time thermal monitoring of the phone.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes with smart software that reduces battery life by 100% when charging overnight to improve battery life. A 65 W SUPERVOOC charger and a red USB-C cable are included in the OnePlus Nord CE 2 box.
On board we have the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset built on a 6 nm architecture, along with support for 5G network speeds and Wi-Fi 6. The design of the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor has been optimized for better energy efficiency, which which allows for improved thermal control, system stability and extended gaming sessions.
The panel is a 6.43-inch FHD + Fluid AMOLED with a 90 Hz refresh rate that provides fluidity and speed. In addition, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 display is HDR10 + certified, with richer and deeper colors on platforms with HDR10 + support such as Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.
The part that needs improvements to the OnePlus terminals, regardless of the range, was the camera. OnePlus Nord CE 2 filming is enhanced with AI backlighting and color optimization that enhances video quality in low light conditions, especially in unevenly lit environments. This feature uses dedicated video capture algorithms that ensure accurate and consistent shooting exposure. In addition, OnePlus Nord CE 2 allows simultaneous selfie and rear-facing recordings via Dual-View Video mode, opening up a number of new creative opportunities.
The phone is available in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue – the former has a mirror-like finish with bright hues, which look like a polished metal, while the latter has a smooth, gradient finish that offers fascinating blue color transitions and yellow.
With a thickness of only 7.8 mm, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is even thinner than the first OnePlus Nord CE, making it the thinnest OnePlus smartphone from the OnePlus 6T to date.
The 3.5mm headphone jack input returns to the OnePlus Nord CE 2, allowing the headphones to be wired. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 also has 2 SIM card slots and a microSD card slot that allows you to expand your storage space by up to 1 TB.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes pre-installed with the most optimized version of OxygenOS 11, which includes an enhanced dark mode, new one-handed features, and more. OxygenOS 12 will be available on this device in the second half of 2022. OnePlus Nord CE 2 will receive 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of Android security updates.
