Snapdragon 865+ was introduced
It is the first mobile processor to exceed the 3Ghz frequency on one of the cores.
Starting last year, Qualcomm launches 2 high-end processors per year: one in the first half, followed by a Plus version of the same processor in the second half of the year. Thus, the 865+ brother promises performance 10% higher than those of the younger brother non plus.
Differences occur in processor frequencies and video card frequencies. While the Snapdragon 865 had the fastest core clocked at 2.84Ghz, the 865+ has it at 3.1Ghz, and in the case of the GPU the increase was not specified.
Other new features include support for Wi-Fi 6E, ie download speeds of up to 3.2Gbps and a latency of less than 3ms, Bluetooth 5.2 and Dual Bluetooth antenna support.
Two phones have already been announced that will benefit from the new processor: Asus ROG Phone 3, respectively a phone from Lenovo from the Legion series. Most likely we will see it in OnePlus 8T.
