Microsoft give up to bring Android apps to Windows
Microsoft announced it would give up the idea of bringing Android applications in Windows 10, unfortunately.
The decision came after numerous rumors on the subject, and the project can be considered dead.
Astoria was the project name and was announced at the Microsoft Build developer conference. The role was to create a connection between Android and Windows, so you do not exist limitations when it comes to applications. .
After a few days, Microsoft bought Xamarin, a startup that allows developers to write applications in a single programming language, then customize them for each operating system.
Microsoft said developers need to look to the migration tool for iOS, Project Islandwood or use Xamarin.
Microsoft understands that lost the battle with Android and iOS. He lost the last two years to ensure that their applications are available on both platforms, and now developers are trying to help others do the same.
The fact that Microsoft has dropped the idea and become more involved in the development for iOS looks like there is more profit.
