OmniVision has a new camera sensor of 13MP high end

OmniVision has just announced a new camera sensor for mobile. Although not impressed by the large number of megapixels, it brings major improvements more important.

The new sensor called OV13870 and engineers focused on increasing the pixel size and not their number. That is exactly what Samsung has done with their sensor BRITECELL.

Front sensor has a pixel size of 1.23 micron architecture PureCel-S Plus. It says it will deliver the best performance in its class and low-light photos are best.

The sensor measures 1 / 2.6 inch, ie 5.2 mm. Is compatible dual-camera format, as LG has G5. 4K and 2K footage can support 60 fps, 240 fps Full HD or HD at 300 fps.

Will go into production in Q2 2016.  There are chances to see him on iPhone 7.
