Google bans Beauty Face in Android 11

Beauty Face is one of those functions that indirectly spoils a selfie. Even if the role of the function is to make you look better, Beauty Face makes you look more like a toy. Google will remove this feature from Android 11.

The idea of Beauty Face is good at the base, but in reality you look weird. The picture becomes unnatural, details are lost and sometimes the geometry of the face may differ. Google has decided not to offer this feature on Android 11 as standard and forces smartphone manufacturers to stop integrating it.

Virtually no phone or camera application should have Beauty Face. But a 3rd party application can have this function, so Google lets you use it but not from them or the phone manufacturer.

Google has changed the compatibility rules and mentioned quite clearly that the devices must not change the faces in the photos in any way by effects or by changing the geometry. As standard, no phone manufacturer should offer Beauty Face even when it comes to removing an annoying face mask. Not even that much.

Huawei and Samsung are champions at Beauty Face and I am very happy to see that this feature will be eliminated. Unfortunately, Huawei has no one to force them because this rule is valid only for phones that have Google services and Google partners.

It is rumored that the fault for eliminating this function would be the deepfake technology that can act in real time.
