Huawei has launched a desktop with HiSilicon processor with ARM technology

Huawei has launched in China a desktop with its own processor based on ARM technology. It is a classic desktop that integrates a proprietary processor and seems to have been inspired by Apple.

Or maybe they worked on it in advance and no one knew. The idea is that the desktop is a classic one but it has an ARM processor, so it can’t be changed. Otherwise it is a configurable drive running Linux and is only for the Chinese market.

– HiSilicon Kunpeng 920 processor at 2.6GHz with 8 cores and 8 threads
– 16GB DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz
– SSD with 256GB SATA 3 interface
– AMD Radeon RX550 video card produced by Yeston
– 200W source
– DS920S10 motherboard

The motherboard has standard ports such as PCIe 3.0, SATA ports and M.2 slots, but also traditional USB and Ethernet. The operating system is Unity Operating System, a Chinese version of 64-bit Linux.

The processor is not very efficient, and the available applications are limited. The price is around 1000 euros.
