How do we arrange event tables?

The correct placement of the table has long been included in the code of good manners. Especially in the case of a special event, such as a wedding or baptism, every detail must be in place. For everything to be perfect, you need to follow some objective rules of style before adding a personal touch.

What are the main rules to follow?

  • The placement of the tables in the hall must be in accordance with their design, size and number, the space for the dance floor and the total area available.
  • The tablecloths must be the same, not to show imperfections and to fit in the whole chromatic ensemble of the hall. Light colors are usually the most sought after for events. For extra elegance and style you can add napkins. They have both an aesthetic and a functional role of protection.
  • Cutlery, crockery and glasses must be aligned and follow the standard rules of etiquette. They must also be suitable for the dishes to be served. The distance between them must be sufficient to provide comfort to each guest.
  • The decoration of the table is one of the most important aspects. Depending on customer preferences, it can be minimalist or extravagant. Natural flower arrangements are highly valued as centerpieces. For an elegant look, it is important that they fit into a color unit. Both pale shades of pink or lilac, and vibrant shades such as red or dark purple, can fill the space extremely harmoniously. It is recommended that they be chosen according to the other decorative features of the room – the shades of the walls, chairs, etc.
  • Do not overcrowd the table! In addition to the aesthetic role, do not forget what is the main use – serving dishes. Decorative objects should not bother guests.
  • Regarding the distribution of guests at the tables, it is recommended that people who know each other be seated at the same table, in order to ensure easier communication. If there are no cases, you can use the knowledge you have about the guests to place them next to people with common habits or passions. As for the elderly, they should be seated at tables in quieter areas, away from speakers or other sources of noise, which may be perceived as disturbing.
  • As for the event tables as pieces in themselves, in order to be elegant and allow you to arrange an impressive decor, they must be as simple as possible. Simplicity does not make them boring in any way, but gives a high degree of mobility and versatility.
