Netflix begins to close inactive accounts

Although I predicted that dark days would follow for them, it seems that I was sorely mistaken. Okay, in the meantime, the coronavirus plague has come and almost canceled any prediction!

Due to the pandemic, which caused a 16 million increase in the number of subscribers and generated over $ 700 million in revenue, Americans thought of doing a little cleaning among users.

Thus, all those who have active accounts – ie have up-to-date payment – but have more than a year since they have not followed any material on the platform, will receive an email notification asking them to confirm if they still want to maintain subscription or not.

Those who do not respond will be automatically disabled. However, Netflix has announced that it will keep your favorite or watchlists for another 10 months!

It may seem like a harsh measure, but they say that just over 0.5% of subscribers will be affected. And, in total, Netflix had 182 million subscribers!

Although I think it is to their advantage to free up space on servers, I must note that they are also fair play, taking into account that they do not want to charge people who do not really use their services.

I also have a question for you, after all – how long has it been since you watched something on Netflix?
