Qualcomm has launched a new processor

A new mid-ranger that will replace the Snapdragon 675 model and equipped with the X51 modem compatible with the 5G network.

Snapdragon 690 is made on 8nm technology and is described as the budget processor for affordable 5G phones.

LG, Motorola, Sharp, TCL or Wingtech are among the companies that have already announced that they will use the new processor in the phones they will launch this year.

Among the novelties are the refresh rate of 120Hz up to FullHD + resolution, QuickCharge 4+, HDR filming at 4K @ 30fps, and for Snapchat fans we worked on the processing part of the filters, so they will look better and will be removed from stutter.

In terms of performance, compared to the 675 model, Snapdragon 690 is 20% faster on the processing side, and 60% more efficient on the graphics side. On the 5G side, it will have support on SA, NSA and sub-6Ghz bands. It will not support mmWaves.
