Ubisoft stops the online component for 15 titles
Older titles from the Ubisoft catalog will remain without the online component, and DLCs will no longer be available.
The measure will apply from September 1, and the list of affected titles is:
- Anno 2070
- Assassin’s Creed 2
- Assassin’s Creed 3
- Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
- Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD
- Assassin’s Creed Revelations
- Driver San Francisco
- Far Cry 3
- Ghost Recon Future Soldier
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
- Rayman Legends
- Silent Hunter 5
- Space Junkies
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
- ZombiU
Thus, if you want to experience one of the above tilts in multiplayer, you should do so before September 1, 2022. The measure also applies to DLCs, which can no longer be played after this date even if you bought them. .
It should be noted that Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3 have received remastered editions and will not be affected by this measure.
Of course, the announcement was not received with open arms by gamers and they made fun of Ubisoft’s posting on Twitter. The saddest thing seems to me that until now, Blacklist launched in 2013 (today tomorrow turns 10) is the latest Splinter Cell.
