Acer has launched a new series of Triton 500 and Nitro 5 gaming laptops
Acer has today launched a new series of gaming laptops in the Triton 500 and Nitro 5 range. They are equipped with 10th generation Intel processors and new cooling systems.
“In addition to the latest processors and graphics cards, we have made extremely interesting updates for Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 this year,” said James Lin, General Manager,
Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer.
“The most important thing is that we have applied a new thermal technology, which keeps the devices cool, so that the players can enjoy the performance offered by the new technologies.”
The Triton 500 is equipped with 10th generation Intel Core processors and Nvidia RTX video cards up to RTX 2080 SUPER. The autonomy has been increased and offers 7.5 hours of work, and the screen has switched to 300Hz, also IPS and with 3ms response time. It covers 100% of the sRGB color range, is compatible with G-Sync.
It has a Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i network card, an E3100G Ethernet control and Control Center 2.0 to bring the quality of the network connection to new levels, ensuring bandwidth priority for critical applications.
It weighs 2.1kg, 17.9mm thick, an 81% screen to body ratio and has up to 32GB RAM and 1TB of NVMe RAID 0 SSD storage.
The cooling system has been modified and has 3 fans strategically located in the chassis, much quieter and more efficient. One of the fans is metal and is part of the 4th generation 3D Aero Blade, specially designed to maximize airflow. Compared to the 2019 model it is 33% more thermally efficient.
Nitro 5 also has Intel Gen10 processors and graphics solutions up to RTX 2060. We also see GTX 1650Ti or 1650 models. For storage we opted for two PCIe M.2 SSDs and a 1TB HDD, up to 32GB of RAM in two. DIMM slots, 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with 144 or 120Hz refresh rates and a response time of 3ms. The panel has 300 nits.
The cooling system was also modified by 25% better than last year. It has 2 fans and generous intake ports. New for this year’s model, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (802.11ax) and Killer Ethernet E2600 increase network stability and performance, allowing players to take full advantage of these thermal improvements.
Predator Triton 500 gaming laptops will be available in EMEA from May, at prices starting at 1,899 euros.
The Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptops will be available in EMEA from May, at prices starting at 899 euros.
