How the ranked system in Valorant works
I’ve been a Riot Games fan, I’ve been playing League of Legends for over 5 years and I’ve been looking forward to a new game from them. It’s just not for nothing that they are Riot Games. After many expectations we have other titles, and the most awaited was Valorant.
Valorant is a new game that is very similar to CS: GO, many have said that, but it manages to create its own sub-niche within the FPS genre. The action in the game is more intense and much more competitive.
However, the ranked system is not ready yet. It was available in the close beta version of the game but was not available at the June 2 launch. This allowed players to train and learn the game better until they started playing ranked.
Just like in League of Legends, rankings show you how good you are. You start from the Iron level and gradually grow into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Basically Diamond is the maximum level you can reach if you are a normal player. There is another category but it is intended only for professional players.
You will play with other players in the same division, so you will never be able to play with a Diamond if you are Gold or Silver. These levels maintain the right game for everyone. If you still want to try all the ranked levels you can play in the form of training.
Very similar to the ranked system in LoL. You must play 20 normal matches before the game gives you access to ranked mode.
The 20 matches are very important because based on the Win vs Lose ratio but also on the general performance, you will enter a first division. You usually get the most out of Gold. You have to play very well in the 20 matches to reach a good division from the beginning.
Interestingly, your rank will not decrease even after 2 weeks of inactivity, so you do not have to play daily to stay fit.
