MediaTek MT6893 is approaching the performance of Snapdragon 865

MediaTek MT6893 is a new platform built on 6nm and approaching the performance of Snapdragon 865. The new MediaTek platform will equip the cheaper phones that tend to offer a very good value for money.

The new MT platform is derived from the Samsung Exynos 1080 platform also on 6nm, and according to the new online leaks, MT6893 is approaching the performance of the SD865 platform on a OnePlus 8.

MT6893 has a Cortex A78 primary core at 3GHz, 3 A78 cores at 2.6GHz and 4 A55 cores for efficiency at 2.0GHz. The GPU is a Mali G77 MC9, the RAM memory is LPDDR4X and the UFS 2.0 memory.
