Samsung Launches Drive Links to help you use your smartphone while you drive
Samsung is testing new application Drive Link on Galaxy S III quad-core, and will be available to other receivers in its range further, provided that they run at least Android ICS.
In 21 countries can now access Samsung Apps on SGSIII to take possession Drive Link – these include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal , Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine and United Kingdom.
Besides the usual huge buttons for auto app for quick access to your music collection or navigation software on the phone, there are shortcuts to internet radio service TuneIn, and to reach contacts quickly.
Text-to-speech module is also activated when you turn on the Drive Link, so that all incoming texts, emails and social networking updates are read aloud through your car’s audio system.
Otherwise, Drive Link shows the time and date, local weather and your future meetings of S Calendar, and if they include an address, you can set it as the next destination with a single touch.
Connection with the entertainment / information from your car is via industry standard if you drive a GM, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Daimler and Hyundai.
Central units are now responding to DriveLink of JVC KW-NSX11, Alpine ICS-X8 and Sony XAV-701BT, XAV-741 and XAV-601BT.2, but will add more to them.
