Warning: You will no longer be able to do this on WhatsApp
Representatives of the WhatsApp messaging platform have decided to restrict the number of recipients to whom a message that has been previously redirected can be forwarded, at least five times.
WhatsApp is involved in the fight against online misinformation, amid the coronavirus pandemic. So that false information does not spread quickly, WhatsApp has decided to restrict the mass sending of messages.
Thus, restrictions will be introduced regarding the number of people to which a user can simultaneously redirect a message. For the restriction to apply, the message must have been previously redirected at least five times.
WhatsApp representatives claim that, against the background of the coronavirus pandemic, numerous false information was spread on the messaging application, which went viral in a very short time.
These situations contribute to misinformation of users, which is why the company has decided to take action in this regard, so that people do not get false information.
