AMD officially announces the Ryzen 3000XT series
These are three “new” processors with the necessary quotation marks.
The processors are based on the same 7nm Zen 2 technology and are 3600XT, 3800XT and 3900XT.
Their basic frequencies are identical to the already existing models on the X series market, but the differences appear on the turbo frequency side.
- Ryzen 5 3600XT has a turbo frequency of 4.5Ghz compared to 4.4Ghz on the 3600X variant, and the price will be $ 249;
- Ryzen 7 3800XT has a turbo frequency of 4.7Ghz compared to 4.5Ghz on the 3800X variant, and the price will be $ 399;
- Ryzen 9 3900XT has a turbo frequency of 4.7Ghz compared to 4.6Ghz on the 3900X variant, and the price will be $ 499.
Of the three, only Ryzen 5 3600XT will come with cooler wraith prism in the box, and the rest without.
AMD has argued that the 3800XT and 3900XT are processors for enthusiasts who want to squeeze out all the processor power. Thus, it recommends 280mm AIO type cooling.
The processors will be available from July 7, and this mini refresh of the 3000 series shows that AMD could launch the 4000 series only next year.
