iPhone 13 Pro Max is the flagship with the best autonomy

Although it is the top of the range with the smallest battery, the iPhone 13 Pro Max still remains in first place in the autonomy tests. In a comparative test conducted by YouTuber Mrwhostheboss, iPhone 13 Pro Max has an endurance at least 20% better than Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Samsung’s flagship is surpassed even by last year’s S21 Ultra, but it offers better battery life than the Pixel 6 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro.

The YouTuber tested the phones in normal use scenarios, without synthetic tests, and the results are below:

  • Pixel 6 Pro: 7 hours and 6 minutes
  • Xiaomi 12 Pro: 7 hours and 34 minutes
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra: 8 hours and 8 minutes
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra: 8 hours and 15 minutes
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max: 10 hours and 27 minutes

I was also surprised by the battery on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’ve had it for a few months now, and I’ve never had another phone that lasts as well. It barely performs on standby and in use and performs much better than the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But I’m very disappointed with the S22 Ultra. In theory, the LTPO screen that can go down to one Hz and the new SoC 2200 should come with lower power consumption, but the improvements are not very noticeable.
