Razer Nari Ultimate Wireless Overwatch Edition – review and specs
Razer Nari Ultimate Wireless Overwatch Edition, a very long name for a pair of headphones. It is essentially a very good pair of Nari in a limited edition with a unique design.
The castles I have now and use as I write this review deserve special attention. Essentially there are Wireless Nars with a design dedicated to Overwatch players. I really like what it looks like because I’m tired of seeing black headphones.
But design is not necessarily important even if they are a special edition. The phones come with a lot of technology in the package and become not only a good pair for games or movies but an extraordinary pair.
Razer understands that you cannot produce good headphones only at games. Sometimes you listen to music or watch a movie. And this is what they brought new to this model.
The nostrils are huge headphones that cover your entire ear and have an elastic band that molds to the shape of the head. So you don’t adjust anything anymore.
The cups are very large and sit very comfortably on the ear. I think they are the biggest cups I have seen so far and being in quarantine I stayed for 5 hours with headphones on. They are very comfortable.
The cups have a gel inside that prevents the sensation of discomfort and the perspiration of the ears being a refreshing gel. No, you will not feel cold but simply do not sweat. They are very soft, I think the softest cups I have encountered.
I repeat, there are big headphones, a little heavy, but with some cups that are worth the 10 note.
Castile also offers a new technology but similar to what we have encountered in Sony models.
It is called Razer HyperSense and was developed in collaboration with Lofelt, a German company specialized in the intelligent implementation of haptic effects offering sensations and natural experiences.
Basically the headphones vibrate in rhythm with the sound effects of the games or the bass of the songs.
Even though it’s similar to what I’ve seen on Sony headphones (Bass Vibration or something) here is a little different.
The sensation is much more intense, and if you leave the headphones on the desk you will see how they run away.
Razer HyperSense technology converts audio signal into haptic feedback using special speakers that generate this feedback.
They remain at the same time very powerful speakers with stereo capabilities and no special software will be needed to be used in music, movies or games. Nor should there be any special content for that.
You can stop this haptic feedback from the software at any time or adjust its intensity. I find it interesting and useful but in the long run it was slightly annoying. You gotta get used to this.
What I didn’t tell you and I think it’s important to know, HyperSense technology also works wirelessly. The headphones can work with both the jack cable and the USB adapter, and the functionality is the same.
Another thing I rarely find is the chat potentiometer. On the left helmet you have all the control buttons and most importantly it seemed to me.
If you talk to your friends on Voice Chat then you can adjust the volume intensity of the chat or the game. Unfortunately it does not work with any game. On the right helmet you have the potentiometer for the overall volume of the headphones.
The overall sound is very good regardless of activity. They are made to be good especially in gaming, but Razer took into account all the feedback from journalists and changed what was essential. Basically you can enjoy headphones when listening to music.
Set correctly from the equalizer you can listen to the music at a very good quality, with strong bass and pleasant voices.
It’s just up to you how you adjust them, but overall they sound great. They have very good spatiality, and here comes the THX Spatial Audio, a sufficiently good sound level up to a medium volume and they are compatible with PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo.
As for autonomy, you should know that the headset essentially gives you several days of use, but if you activate HyperSense it will take less. During this period in which I take advantage of my free time and I play all the time, the castles gave me autonomy 3 days.
Their price is 250 euros.
Finally I mention a very good mousepad all Overwatch Edition. It’s Goliathus Speed, a very good model for any type of mouse, with rubber base and sewn edges. It is very fine, slides well any mouse and costs 35 euros.
