WhatsApp offers new functionality
While working for the old employer, I proposed that at the end of the emails, where I had the predefined signature, to insert a QR code containing the contact details.
Basically, a customer could save all your details in your phone’s address book, scanning that little square!
Although the idea was not patented to me, it seems that Mark Zuckerberg found out about it. Thus, if you are enrolled in the Beta program of WhatsApp and have version 2.20.171 installed, you can transmit or save your personal contact data extremely easily.
All you have to do is go to settings, and click on the code next to the name. You’ll have two options – either view (and send to other users) your own code, or scan one from another user.
Basically, the storage time of a new contact is shortened. And since I kept corresponding with other people on WhatsApp, but I had to save their phone number later, I feel welcome.
It should be noted that the development is only available to those who have the Beta version above, not to all users. But it is clear that it will become something integrated in the basic version.
Do you find the option useful?
