PlayStation Vita in London bustle – the games will be launched on the new Sony console
In an era dominated by intelligent terminals (smartphones) and tablets, mobile devices dedicated exclusively to live not just gaming glory days.
Nintendo has used what we call a “trick” of marketing, equipping Nintendo 3DS with a 3D display that can be viewed with the naked eye, without the need for tiresome wearing 3D glasses.
Unfortunately, in real hardware specifications, 3DS can hardly keep up with modern phones, continued use of a resistive touch screen is eloquent in this respect.
Unlike its Japanese rival, Sony has chosen a configuration for the new PlayStation Vita-edge hardware, based on a quad core, but also has a video chip with four cores.
Also, we opted for a modern touchscreen AMOLED display 5 “, accompanied by a touch-sensitive surface placed on the back of the console, but also a classical arrangement of buttons, feature PlayStation consoles.

But these technical specifications mean nothing if the supply of games for the console is not keeping pace with hardware power.
Just this side of the console I could explore last week when I visited London to take part in an event presentation PlayStation Vita, and software libraries with which it will be launched on 22 February 2012.
It must be said from the start that PlayStation Vita uses a modern interface based on touch screen console is equipped. The menus are intuitive and the screen response speed is comparable to that of modern devices using the Android operating system.
In addition to games, Sony presented the London event and a series of applications developed for Vita, which is to provide support for popular online services like Flickr or Twitter.
As expected, the applications are very easy to use color schemes chosen are still a bit “childish” than for similar software designed for mobile phones or tablets.
In addition, the console will be supplied with a service called Near, able to scan the surroundings (via 3G or Wi-Fi) to detect and Vita other users (identified by the name that they use on the PlayStation Network their avatars or their collection of trophies).
In addition to multiplayer party chat (text or audio) that can be initiated via the Near, these people can be left and all kinds of gifts, bonuses unlocked in the game, such as additional characters or objects of clothing (virtual) customized.
Let the games but, because to be honest, a device like a PlayStation Vita are purchased primarily for this kind of entertainment.
Sony plans to have one of the most comprehensive offerings in the release of PlayStation games Vita, which are either based on franchises that have made a name for the old PlayStation consoles or the brand-new title, developed specifically for the new portable console .
PlayStation 3 users will be pleased to hear that older titles such as LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm, ModNation Racers or Wipeout will appear and the new Vita.
Mobile version of LittleBigPlanet will use the touch screen facilities, the creation of additional levels and the existing navigation is becoming a little more intuitive. MotorStorm RC is a new episode of the series, this time dedicated guided Race cars.
The game will be released both PS Vita and the PS3, will purchase from the PSN to release both versions of the game.
ModNation Racers: Road Trip will be very familiar to those who have already tried the PS3 version of the game, the significant changes being made in the editing of additional circuits, facilitated by touchscreen-based interface.
Wipeout 2048 lead to new heights of PlayStation 3 and Vita, the older Wipeout HD owners being able to compete directly with new users through the PlayStation Network game.
They will not however be the only series that will make the transition experienced by Vita. Publishers of Sony’s partners were also present at the London event, presenting their new dedicated games mobile device.
At the forefront were the sports games such as FIFA Football from EA Sports, the SEGA Virtua Tennis or Formula 1 2011 from Codemasters.
FIFA Football is a replica of his older brother Mobile FIFA 12 is amazing how similar are the two games in terms of graphics.
Furthermore, the producers promise extraordinary innovation: players can precisely eye to the point of the gate wanting a shot through touch panel’s placed behind the console, also can pass, the ball in deep center or by using screen touch front passes frustrations arising from thus eliminating directed elsewhere.
Virtua Tennis is presented, in turn, very well in terms of graphics. Matches can be played either with analog sticks and buttons or gestures made by the touchscreen. F1 2011, in contrast, the visually impressive (looks more like a polished title for PSP), and control is a bit cumbersome.
PlayStation Vita will take part and a lot of fighting games, before being confirmed titles like Street Fighter X Tekken, Marvel vs Ultimate. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat, Tekken or Reality Fighters.
In the presentation in London, have appeared only Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which looks almost identical to its counterpart on consoles “large”, and Reality Fighters.
While the former is a serious fighting game, Reality Fighters console uses cameras to capture images that can be used as a “battle field” for characters that face caricature on screen.
Finally, one of the publishers with an important presence in the London presentation was Ubisoft, which brought the platformer Rayman Origins for Vita (absolutely identical graphics and gameplay with versions for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii) Vita and special version of Michael Jackson the Experience.
It is a game based on the late music superstar, to be carried out in different dance moves executed via the touchscreen gestures.
In addition to these titles, which were matched on consoles or “house” or PCs, Sony’s people came armed with plenty of original titles developed specifically for the PlayStation Vita.
One of them is Little Deviants, a collection of mini-games designed around the technical capabilities of the new console (touch panel, accelerometer, gyroscope, cameras, etc.).
They are well suited to players early age, most adults seem slightly awkward risking while moving the console mad frolic of all parties to maintain a balance or shoot mogâldeţe flying monsters.
A more interesting game Sound Shapes is a platformer game with mechanics similar to older Gish, whose levels are created but through musical notes.
Basically, when the order of thought come a producer level, leading to birth sounds a song. Users can compose their own songs and levels through the publisher will be included in the game.
Instead, Escape Plan is done in a humorous style black and white. The two main characters, Lil and Laarg, have guided the players through levels full of traps, Escape Plan using the full possibilities of the two surfaces to touch the console.
For example, to dodge some traps, characters can be moved by pressing simultaneously touch both surfaces.
Rush Gravity Joculete abandon the idea of sympathetic and accessible, this title boasting an open game world, in the style of inFamous.
Unlike the electric power of Cole MacGrath, the protagonist of Gravity Rush can use any surface as the floor, battles and puzzles are designed to exploit better the mechanics of the game.
The character can also hover in the air, to escape attacks by the gestures made on the touch screen or hit the sensitivities of bosses with touchscreen.
For action fans, Sony has prepared Unit 13, a third person shooter developed by producers military SOCOM series. In games of this type comes out best in the second analog stick, with which control is very convenient.
Unit 13 is however quite generic and the graphics are not up to other games shown on this occasion.
I kept the crown jewel at the end PlayStation Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The game looks incredible and can be easily confused with the original trilogy on PlayStation 3, the specific modifications to the new handheld consoles.
Nathan Drake can be controlled either by traditional methods (sticks and buttons), or using the touch screen to easily navigate levels, or the touch panel to climbing walls, ropes, etc.
Also, the accelerometer and gyroscope can be used to eye by simply moving the console. If we were to recommend a game that definitely needs to buy it with PlayStation Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss would be without doubt our elected.
However, as said in the beginning, we live in an era dominated by just a touch screen based devices and thus the joculeţele simplistic, easily accessible for everyone.
Vita will benefit from such securities, can not really appealing to hardcore gamers, but interesting enough to attract the casual audience. It’s games like Hustle Kings (billiards simulator), Everybody’s Golf and Top Darts.
Unfortunately, although they were originally announced the list of games that were to be present at the event in London, were missing titles like Resistance Burning Skies (first person shooter), Ridge Racer (racing cars) or Super Stardust Delta (arcade shooter with ship space).
Even so, PlayStation Vita seems to have a library of impressive titles launch, which will be enhanced next year with some games like Assassin’s Creed for the Vita, a special edition of Call of Duty or an episode separate series BioShock, specially developed for the new portable console to the Sony.
PlayStation Vita will launch in Europe on February 22, 2011 and will be sold in two versions with 3G (299 €) and Wi-Fi only (249 €).
